Croatia has a beautiful coast with thousands of islands, reefs and bays. Numerous romantic ruins, charming hills, countless natural beauties are waiting to be discovered.
The National Parks of Dalmatia bicycle cruise is one of our easiest tour. We invite you to spend a week by boat and bike between the mainland and the islands. Delicious cuisine, beautiful sites, a friendly crew, and knowledgeable tour guides await your arrival. Starting in Trogir, we visit two National Parks as well as the islands of Central Dalmatia.
Highlights of the tour include UNESCO protected old town of Trogir, Primošten, Šibenik, with its famous cathedral, and Zadar, as well as the National Park Krka-Waterfalls, and the Kornati Islands. On a romantic motor yacht, our floating accommodation for the week, we discover the charm of the Adriatic in this wonderful way.
Parallel to some of our National Parks of Dalmatia tour dates we are also offering the National Parks of Dalmatia PLUS tour with one of the first class ships. On this tour E-bike- rides are conducted parallel – the itinerary is similar. Therefore the PLUS tours would be the perfect alternative if the desired tour date on the regular tour is already fully booked or if you are looking for a tour on an even more luxury boat.
The ship – Your sailing hotel
In between cycling excursions, you cruise along with the ship, which travels to a new destination every day. You will sleep and have breakfast and 1 or 2 warm meals on board. Depending on the program, this will be lunch or dinner. The other meal is ashore (not included). It’s possible to spend a day on board if you like. There are rental bikes on board, but you can also bring your own if you mention it when booking.
All distances are “approximate distances” of recommended bike tours.
The tour details are barring changes, a.o. as a result of nautical, technical or meteorological reasons. We reserve the right to make changes to the planned itinerary due to changing wind and weather conditions as well as organizational requirements. If necessary the tour will be operated in reverse.
Day 1: Trogir (Embarkation) – Rogoznica
Individual arrival either by car to Trogir or by plane to Split. After checking in on the motor yacht between 2 and 2:30 pm at Trogir your first cruise starts at 3 pm leading you to Rogoznica – a village on a small island which is connected to the mainland by a dam. Here you also spend our first night.
Day 2: Rogoznica – Primošten (aprx. 12 mi./20 km) | Primošten – Šibenik – Skradin
In the morning we cycle from Rogoznica to Primošten. From there the boat takes us to the city of Šibenik to the spot where the Krka River flows into the Adriatic Sea. After visiting the famous cathedral and the lovely old town we set off again. On the cruise we pass the lower course of the river Krka following the river bend until we reach Skradin. In the port of the village we spend your night.
Day 3: National Park of Krka – Vodice (aprx. 12 mi./20 km) | 2024: (aprx. 22 mi./36 km)
The charming port of Skradin is today’s starting point for our excursion by boat and on foot to the most famous part of the Krka National Park with its unique waterfalls.
2023: In the early afternoon our boat takes you to the harbor of Vodice, a well-known holiday town on the Dalmatian mainland. Once we arrive, we enjoy an afternoon round tour in the surroundings of Vodice and visit some of the cultural remains of the region.
2024: After our excursion through this lush green wonderland, we enjoy lunch before setting off on our bicycles from Skradin to the well-known holiday town of Vodice. The boat will await our arrival and we will spend the night in Vodice.
Day 4: Vodice – Island of Murter – Nature Park Telašćica (aprx. 25 km/16 mi.)
In the morning we cycle from Vodice to Murter Island that is connected to the mainland by the lift bridge at Tisno. We pass the bridge and cycle along the water front, passing by two very old coastal villages, until we reach a small landing place from where the boat takes us on a cruise through the National Park Kornati, an archipelago in crystal clear water which is known for its rich aquatic realm. Our destination is the Nature Park Telašćica. In the evening a walk through the park leads us along the stunning cliffs of the island. A salt lake and a family of donkey also characterise the nature park and make for a wonderful location to spend a quiet night.
Day 5: Island of Dugi Otok (aprx. 17 mi. / 28 km) | Dugi Otok – Zadar
After breakfast we start our bike tour from the Telašćica Nature Park, along a virtually traffic-free, panoramic road across the island. During the ride we’re treated to countless unforgettable views of neighbouring islands, breaking through the deep blue sea. We meet the ship in Savar and board for a crossing to the city of Zadar, which for centuries was the political, cultural, and spiritual centre of Dalmatia. Once we arrive, there is the opportunity to take part in a walking tour during which you will find out all about this fascinating city while strolling through the winding alleys and the lively old town, characterised by 3,000 years of history. The night is spent in Zadar.
Day 6: Islands of Ugljan and Pašman – Primosten (aprx. 20 mi/33 km)
During breakfast the boat crosses to the island of Ugljan at the channel of Zadar. Today we have a lot of time to explore both of the islands Ugljan and Pašman by bicycle. They have been connected by a bridge. We cycle along the East Coast, always with beautiful views to the mainland and the ocean. After our bike tour, we sail back to the city of Primosten on the mainland. Here we can enjoy some time swimming and exploring the quaint sea-side village. The night is spent in Primosten.
Day 7: Island of Solta (aprx. 9 mi./15 km) | Solta – Trogir
In the morning our motor yacht takes us to the island of Solta. Olive and fig trees and farmland surround the streets. The spicy smell of rosemary will follow you throughout the whole tour around the silent island until we reach the village Grohote. During mid day our last cruise takes us back to Trogir. Here we have enough time to visit the UNESCO World Heritage old town. Our last dinner gives us time to reminisce on the week that past and to say goodbye to fellow travellers, the crew, and tour guides.
Day 8: Trogir (Disembarkation)
After breakfast disembarkation until 9 am and individual trip home or extended stay in Croatia.
