These tours will let you experience the beautiful island of Korčula with its picturesquely situated old township, the island Vis- situated far outside at the sea- and the beautiful lavender island of Hvar. Stroll around Hvar town with its mighty fortress and enjoy the calmness of the artists town Stari Grad. The tour guide explains you the towns of Trogir, Hvar, Stari Grad and Korčula, which are almost all protected under UNESCO‘s World Heritage list.

This tour is occasionally offered parallel to the mountain bike cruise in Southern Dalmatia on the same boat. In this case one tour guide will cycle with the mountain bikers while the other will accompany the trekking cyclists. Due to changing wind and weather conditions as well as organizational requirements the tour could be conducted in reverse order.

  • Ship information

    Kapetan Jure
At 27 x 7 m the Kapetan Jure built in 2000, counts as one of the smallest ships of our Croatian fleet. With an impressive 100 navigated tours she entered the Islandhopping history book. The fine detail etched into the wooden ship mirrors the seafaring affection of its captain. The spacious salon is decorated with shells, amphorae and showcases full of sailor’s knots. At the bow a mermaid keeps watch for the safe navigation of the ship.  11 Of the 15 cabins (7 – 8 m²) are on deck. 10 of these are furnished with the two beds (200 x 80 cm) arranged side by side, while one cabin has bunk beds. The remaining 4 cabins are below deck, and are furnished with a French bed (200 x 140 cm) and a porthole. The cabins have simple, but functional equipment and have air conditioning, tiled, all-in-one showers. washbasin and toilet, hair-dryer, safe and a small wardrobe or an open shelf. There is enough space for sleeping and storing a sea bag or a travel bag. Captain Anton and his crew form an experienced team, which knows how to pamper their guests with delicious specialties.

The Romantica of captain Jure was launched only in May 2007. The ship is 32 m long and 7,6 m wide and it possesses a solid structural steelwork, which, as the name says, connects romance with modern trend and functionally. To the elegant appearance of his ship captain Jure pays a lot of attention: 17 comfortably equipped cabins with a size of 9-10 square metres also offer sufficient area to larger groups to accommodation. The Romantica has nine above deck cabins, of which five have a French (200 x 160 cm) and four of them separated beds (200 x 80 cm) available. There are three cabins with separated beds and two cabins with a French bed below deck. Additionally there are two more cabins, which are equipped with a French bed and a single bed (for 3 people).  The interior of the cabins is functional and bright including a bathroom with toilet and separated shower, but also air-conditioning and a hair dryer. The far sundeck offers couch mats and deck chairs for sunbathing and relaxing. A characteristic of the ship is a platform at the stern of the boat, from which you can take a bath in the sea in a very comfortable way.

    San Snova

The San Snova is a new wooden motor sailer that was launched in spring 2009. The ship, constructed entirely of oak, was built in three years by the Scherka family in their own carpentry workshop as family project. The ship, 100 ft./31 m long and 26 ft./8 m wide, meets the highest expectations in regard to comfort, elegance and style, combining romantic seafaring with modernity and functionalism. The crew and the captain care for an immaculate appearance and a fun loving atmosphere on board the ship. Above deck the MS San Snova has 6 double cabins with French beds (6,5 ft./200 cm x 5,2 ft./160 cm) and 5 triple cabins with double beds (6,5 ft./200 cm x 5,2 ft./160 cm) and single bunk bed (6,5 ft./200 cm x 2,6 ft./80 cm) and below deck there are 3 spacious triple cabins with one double bed and a single bunk bed. All cabins are air-conditioned and equipped with shower and toilet and hairdryer. The fittings of the cabins as well as the saloon and the outside area are of superior quality with many carefully created details. The roomy sun deck offers comfortable mats for relaxing and lounge chairs are found on the after-deck. So let yourself be pampered and enjoy the “Dream of Dreams” (San Snova), as the Scherka family – whom speaks German and English fluently – named their ship!

Tour Details Croatia: Southern Dalmatia | Multiple barges

Day 1 (Sat): Embarkation: Trogir – Island Brac
Individual arrival by car to Trogir or by plane to Split airport, which is about 5 km/3 mi. away from the harbor of Trogir. After check in on the motor yacht between 2 and 2:30 pm the first cruise starts about 3 pm from Trogir to Brac Island. Overnight stay in the sedate harbor of Milna.

Day 2 (Sun): Islands of Solta and Hvar (aprx. 12.5 mi./20 km + 12.5 mi./20 km)
After crossing over to Stomorska on the island of Šolta we commence our first tour. Walled fields, numerous olive groves, locust bean and fig trees line the roads. The herbal scent of lavender and rosemary accompanies us along our tour across the island. Our visit to a local beekeeper offers an interesting impression into the production of local honey. After cycling around the island we return to our ship in Stomorska. Our afternoon cycling tour on the Island of Hvar leads us through the quaint harbors of Jelsa and Vrboska. Afterwards we return to Stari Grad, which has become a Mecca for artists and art lovers in the past few years.

Day 3 (Mon): Islands Hvar and Korčula (aprx. 14 mi./22 km)
Today’s tour leads us along the almost traffic free pass road through nicely set small villages to the islands capital, Hvar, where we visit the magnificent Renaissance Square and enjoy the view from the Spanish Fortress, situated high above the city. After today’s tour the boat takes us to the Island of Korčula. Overnight stay in Vela Luka.

Day 4 (Tue): Korčula Island (Approx. 38 mi./62 km)
Today we discover the island of Korčula by bicycle and enjoy our lunch break in one of the local restaurants. The calmness and remoteness of the vast vegetation and cypress gardens have given the shape to the probably most beautiful Dalmatian island. Our cycle tour leads us via the village of Blato, like Rome build on seven hills, along a pass road across Pupnat bay and finally to Korčula town, where we have time to take a walk through the wonderful old town with its narrow “fishbone like” alleys. We stay overnight in Korčula town.

We cruise to the island of Brač, which is famous for its shining white marble which was also used for the White House and the Reichstag in Berlin. Day 6 (Thu): Pučišća – OmišOmiš – Split (aprx. 16 or 27 mi./15 or 44 km)

After 11 mi./18 km we have the choice to take part on a four hours rafting tour on the Cetina River (not included in the tour price) and afterwards a small cycle tour of about 4 mi./ 7 km back to the boat – or to expand the cycling tour (no rafting) to 27 mi./44 km along small side roads and versatile landscapes until reaching Omiš and its pirate castles. In the afternoon our ship takes us to Split. The old town of Split, built adjoining the famous palace of the Roman Caesar Diocletian, is a world heritage site. Overnight stay in Split.

Day 7 (Fri): Split Marjan (aprx. 9 mi./15 km) | Split – Trogir
In the morning we prepare for our last bike ride to Mount Marjan. A popular recreational site for the residents of Split, which offers fantastic views of the city and the surrounding islands. Afterwards we board the ship and enjoy the last crossing to Trogir. There is still plenty of time to visit the Old Town, listed as a World Cultural Heritage site. The last evening aboard our ship is celebrated in traditional fashion. While enjoying the communal dinner in a celebrative atmosphere we will have the chance for a last get-together with our crew and tour guides.

    Day 8 (Sat): Disembarkation: Trogir
After breakfast disembarkation until 9 am and individual departure.
