Capri. Pompeii, Procida and the Ischia Islands – Amalfi Coast
You sail on board a legendary old-style gullet boat on a sea full of history. Watching and observing are only part of this truly active trip which combines sailing and relaxing with cycling along the narrow streets of Capri, Pompeii, Procida and the Ischia Islands and Sorrento.
Deriya Deniz is a 24 meters long and 6,6 meters wide caique, with a solid structure and finished with precious mahogany woods. The great care in the interiors and external spaces provide big charm and extreme comfort, in order to enjoy a wonderful holiday. The caique gathers 5 cabins: 4 double cabins and 1 twin cabins, and can accommodate up to 10 people. All cabins are equipped with private services with hot and cold water, shower box with ¼ bathtub and hairdryer. They all have air conditioning with independent regulation, LCD TV and Hi-Fi, a little wardrobe, enough space to place bags and luggage (please exclude rigid luggage), a safe and portholes that can be opened. The ship is furnished with style, it boasts prestigious wood furnishings and fittings, as well as comfortable inner spaces, such as the spacious dinette with bar. The guests can also take advantage of a large solarium and lie down on comfortable beach mattresses enjoying the sounds of the sea. The back deck is covered and has a table for breakfasts and dinners. Aboard catering is our pride, and it is the result of a cultural research, suggested by the old recipes of seaside villages. Carpaccio, fresh seafood and vegetables, pasta, meat and the herbs of the Mediterranean scrubs, are the absolute protagonists on our table.

Its colorful houses have been built in amphitheater shape, overlooking the sea, giving a unique and picturesque aspect to the village. After Positano you continue towards Amalfi, the most powerful Mariner Republic at the end of X century. We suggest the visits to the cloister of Paradise and the church and a walk along the main street that is connected with many narrow streets between white fisherman’s houses. Return to the gullet. It is possible to make a deviation and go up towards Ravello, where in the placid beauty of the main square, the Dome dedicated to Saint Pantaleone stands out. The blood of the Saint liquefies every year on 27th July. From the village dominating the sea from 300 mt. above sea level, you can enjoy a view beyond the Gulf of Salerno and up to the Cilento mountains. You return on the road along the coast to finally reach Vietri. You come back to the gullet. Dinner and overnight in the small fishing port of Cetara.

The name comes from the Latin, Sulpha terra, “land of sulfur”, or “sulfur earth”. After the visit, return to the boat on foot. During the nights of the tour the boat will be docked in the port during 6 nights. One night the ship will stay anchored in road stead. The road stead is a place outside the harbor where the ship can lie at anchor. It is an enclosed area with an opening to the sea. Natural road steads offer shelter from storms, winds and currents, and are frequently used for naval bases. Exclusively in exceptional cases (unfavorable meteorological and/or sea conditions), for safety reasons, the ship must return in the port also during the nights that are scheduled in road stead. Only and exclusively in this case, the guests will be asked to pay the relative price for the stay in the port. This amount, variable from port to port, will be divided among all the participants of the tour and will be paid directly on site (approx. from €20 to €50 per person per night, subject to changes). One night is scheduled in road stead, but clients will be asked to pay for just one night in port in case the ship cannot stay in road stead.
You can park your car in the Marina of Castellammare di Stabia. Guarded parking approx. €45 per week.
The captain and the guide reserve the right to make alterations to the itinerary, depending on wind and weather conditions or organizational requirements.
