Since the booking mood unfortunately did not change for the better in November, Boat Bike Tours decided to extend the promotions that were valid for new bookings in November up to and including the booking date January 15, 2021. For new bookings for PREMIUM TOURS made by customers from all overseas markets* (i.e.: non-European customers) between December 1st, 2020 and January 15th, 2021, the following temporary “flexible booking policy” applies:

  • This temporary flexible booking policy allows a customer to change her/his booking (travel date) without paying any penalties.
  • This promotion only applies to new bookings made before (incl.) 15 January 2021 with a travel date before 1 November 2021.
  • This promotion only applies to the premium tours for which Boat Bike Tours is the organizing tour operator.
  • A customer may change the booking to a new travel date with a final arrival date of 30 September 2022.
  • A customer may change the booking up to 4 months before the departure date.
  • The change of date is subject to availability.
  • If the new booking has a different price, the customer must pay the new price.

*: please note that to non-overseas customers (inhabitants of European countries) exclusively the following promotion applies:

For new bookings for NON-PREMIUM TOURS made by customers from all markets between December 1st, 2020 and January 15th, 2021, the following the following “extended early bird discount Dec. 2020” applies:

  • A customer receives a discount of 25% off the regular tour price.
  • This promotion only applies to new bookings made before (incl.) 15 January 2021 with a travel date before 1 June 2021.
  • This promotion only applies to the NON-premium tours for which Boat Bike Tours is the organizing tour operator, with exception of all Sail & Bike tours in the Netherlands, the new Friesland-tour with the LENA MARIA and also excepting the tours with the PATRIA on Moselle, Saar, Rhine and Neckar rivers in Germany.

By mid-January 2021, we will announce our new promotions, which will be valid from January 16, 2021.

Since our November update, it has emerged that the ship De Nassau will not be used as the second ship on the Southern Tour of Holland route for the entire season, as originally planned. Due to the need to reschedule at short notice, De Nassau will only run the Southern Tour (embarkation on Sunday) on April 4th and 11th and then again from August 22nd until the end of the season.

for all partners who are dependent on our .COM website, English version of our Dropbox and other information in English and who book guests from e.g. Scandinavia, France, Italy, Spain or the UK:

We are convinced that the European and overseas (non-European) markets will recover, respond and perform in different ways during the 2021 season. That is why we have different promotions for these two markets.

We communicate our special programs and promotions for the European market on our German website https://www.boatbiketours.de and in our German Dropbox.

For technical reasons, on https://www.boatbiketours.com we can only communicate the programs and promotions for overseas markets and (because we use our website content for that) only this information is being shared in our English version of the Dropbox.

This means that partners who only receive our mailings in English and who book non-German speaking European guests can only see the programs, promotions and prices, which are typically designed for overseas guests.

But – for them there is more:

Especially for European travellers, we have redefined the tour packages on premium ships, resulting in less inclusions, less guiding and – as a result of that – lower tour prices.

All tours with premium ships now have a package with independent (non-guided) cycling and excluding entrance fees. This results in tour prices that can be – dependent on the tour – €50, €70, €100 or even €170 per person cheaper than the original premium package. On request, the premium package can always be booked as an upgrade.

We know that this may be somewhat confusing, but we are convinced that by adding this option we create great opportunities for the European market. Please let us know when you need more information or join our webinar (see below). Mail to [email protected].

For the optional upgrades “guided cycling” for our tours with premium ships, as well as for selected tour dates Southern Tour of Holland with De Amsterdam, we grant a commission of 10%, regardless of whether the upgrade is booked immediately or later on.
