Boat Bike Tours would like to apologize to its booking partners: the previously announced price change for rental bikes and e-bikes for new bookings for the 2024 season will be reversed. Furthermore, we note that with the implementation of our new booking system, the content and layout of booking confirmations and invoices is not exactly optimal. This is being dealt with. Finally, we are able to offer some discount offers for certain trips and travel periods. Read all about that in this Partner Update.
NO PRICE INCREASE FOR RENTAL BIKES AND E-BIKES IN 2024 AFTER ALL
In our December 2023 Partner Update, Boat Bike Tours announced that – with the introduction of our new reservation system – rental prices for bicycles and e-bikes would be changed. Unfortunately, we communicated this to our partners much too late. Understandably, we received many reactions from partners who, for example, had already published brochures, flyers or printed materials, so they were unable to calculate the new prices to their customers. Our sincere apologies for this error in judgment.
For this reason we have decided to leave the rental prices for bikes and e-bikes at the old level for our booking partners (B2B) and to reverse the announced price change for 2024.
For several weeks we have tried to solve this problem “artificially” by, for example, manually increasing the commission on rental bikes and e-bikes so that the price to be paid by our partners was still at the correct level, but in the end this turned out not to be a good solution. From now on we will manually adjust the prices for bikes and e-bikes for our booking partners.
If you still have older booking confirmations from Boat Bike Tours that you do not agree with for this reason, you can now ask us to create a new adjusted booking confirmation. To do so, please send an email with your request and Boat Bike Tours booking number to [email protected]. Thank you very much for your understanding!
PLEASE NOTE: unfortunately, for technical reasons, it is not possible to re-adjust the “old” rental prices for bicycles and e-bikes in the trip descriptions in our Dropbox 2024. Therefore, below you will find a table with the “old” rental prices that apply to our booking partners for the remainder of season 2024.
BOOKING CONFIRMATIONS/INVOICES FROM OUR NEW BOOKING SYSTEM
The booking confirmations we recently started sending from our new reservation system are – also in our opinion – not quite optimal. Behind the scenes, we are already working on several improvements. In the process, more specifications, inclusions, etc. will appear on the confirmation and the layout will also be improved. However, due to limited availability of our system developers, these changes will not be able to be implemented until spring, but we want to let you know now.
