In our Partner Update May 2023 we already announced some new tours for 2024, which were still in development at that time. These exciting trips in the new cycling and (saltwater) cruising areas of Denmark and Sweden, as well as Sicily are now ready to book. For our premium tour on the Moselle river between Cochem and Metz in September and October 2024, some nine-day tour variants have been added. And the ship De Holland will be used as additional capacity on three popular semi-guided tours in the Netherlands and Belgium in 2024. Finally, we would like to draw your attention to the possibilities to charter a ship exclusively. All details can be found below and under the corresponding links.
All Boat Bike Tours tour programs and itineraries for 2024 with all travel dates, prices and details are now available in three languages (English-German-Dutch) and can be downloaded from our 2024 Dropbox account. If there are any changes, additions or other updates, we will post them to Dropbox.
Our image archive with photos and some short videos of our trips and ships, including some “white label” versions, is available in Boat Bike Tours’ albums on FLICKR. Our partners can use these (with credits – see also file name) when publishing our tours. As soon as new footage is available, it will be added immediately.

NEW TOUR: Sail & Bike Danish and Swedish coasts and islands – tall ship Atlantis
A wonderful new tour on saltwater is the new eight-day tour Sail & Bike Denmark and Sweden on a beautiful three-masted sailing vessel. The tours in May, June and July start and end on Wednesdays in Copenhagen. Discover beautiful and varied landscapes and islands along the Danish and Swedish coasts east and west of Øresund. The impressive, 57-meter-long (185 ft.) tall ship Atlantis provides comfortable accommodations for 32 guests in 16 air-conditioned twin cabins. Enjoy sailing in the beautiful salon or be active or relax on deck. Guided cycling tours, which lead almost daily through the hilly landscape of the regions Zealand and Scania, alternate with shorter and longer sailing trips. The experienced crew of the three-masted barkentine and the two tour leaders will not only show you well-known towns and highlights along the Danish and Swedish coasts and on some islands, but also numerous hidden gems in this beautiful area. At some places guests and bicycles will be safely landed and picked up by the crew by dinghy.

NEW TOUR: Sicily and the Aeolian Islands: trip in the heart of the Mediterranean Sea
For the first time in 2024, Boat Bike Tours organizes a unique boat and bike trip from the port of Milazzo in northern Sicily to five Aeolian (or: Lipari) Islands. This wonderful trip is operated by a small, cozy vessel: the Sundial has only six nice air-conditioned double/twin cabins, so a maximum of just 12 passengers, and the trips are led by a very experienced local tour guide. Discover the unique nature and landscapes of Lipari, Vulcano and also Stromboli with its always active 900 meters high volcano during bike tours and some hikes. Travel dates (departures on Saturdays) of this eight-day Sicily tour in May, June, September and October 2024. An optional extension program on Sicily is available.

Ship De Holland as additional capacity on three routes in the Netherlands and Belgium
The mid-sized cycling cruise ship De Holland will be deployed in 2024 as additional capacity on three very popular routes. In all cases, the cycling option is that guests cycle individually and at their own pace with the help of cycling network system (hubs), a detailed bike map and our bike navigation app. Of course, there is also an experienced tour leader on board who looks after the guests, gives daily briefings and explanations, answers questions and is also on the route by bike during the day, so she/he is always close by. The departure and arrival day of all tours with De Holland is always on Sundays.
In 2024 De Holland will operate five times the tour “The Best of Holland and Belgium” from Amsterdam to Bruges and five times in opposite direction from Bruges to Amsterdam, always against the direction of travel of the ship Fluvius.
On eight departure dates, De Holland sails past well-known Dutch cities and through the Green Heart of Holland on the round trip “Southern Tour of Holland.” The other ship, De Amsterdam, which sails this route weekly, departs on Saturdays.
On six dates spread over the season, De Holland is in operation on our “Roundtrip North Holland and Friesland” including the North Sea island Texel and the IJsselmeer coast. The ship De Willemstad starts her tours on the same route weekly on Saturdays, the De Holland six times on Sundays.

Ship De Holland (33 cabins, 66 passengers) 2024 also available for full charter
To meet the growing demand for full charters, the mid-size cycling cruise ship De Holland will also be available for full charters in 2024. This ship can be used on many of our well-known routes. These include the three tours already mentioned above and additionally for the round trip from/to Amsterdam “Hansa Highlights ” along Dutch Hanseatic towns and cities via the Lower Rhine, the IJssel and the so-called Border Lakes.
In case of a full charter, a variation of our standard routes and services, i.e. a tailor-made program, is also possible after consultation.
