Dear partners,
The 2024 season is still in full swing, but we are already looking ahead to (and booking for) 2025. We would like to inform you about some new developments and also about two relevant changes in the already published tour programs.
Last-Minutes for 2024
By the way: there are still a number of attractive discount offers for last-minute bookings for 2024, also valid for bookings made with our booking partners: you can find all the details on the offers page on our website.
News for 2025:
Since our last partner update on 2025, some more new tour programs for 2025 have been added on Google Drive, such as:
Semi-guided eight-day Springtime Tour Tulips and Dutch Highlights with De Holland.
Semi-guided eight-day voyage along the Rhine and Moselle with the new ship Arkona. In the first half of the 2025 season, the Arkona will also alternate between our Southern and Northern Tours in Holland, thus increasing the bookable capacity there.
The cooperation with Inselhüpfen / Islandhopping is also brand new. They organize wonderful bike and boat trips in Croatia, Greece and Turkey, among other places. After the merger of our companies, Boat Bike Tours now is the liable and organizing tour operator for all tours from their portfolio. You can find all tours on the beautiful Islandhopping website. You can also find the tour programs (in English and German) and images in the corresponding folder on our Google Drive. Would you like to start publishing and selling these tours? Then please contact [email protected].
Program changes season 2025
Sail & Bike Denmark and Sweden – Update
Boat Bike Tours ran the Sail & Bike Denmark and Sweden trip for the first time in 2024 and it was a resounding success: all departures were quickly fully booked and the guests were delighted. For this reason, we have more than doubled the number of departures in 2025. We will also be deploying a second ship on some dates in May and June: In addition to the tall ship Atlantis, the sister ship Antigua will also sail this route for five weeks, but from/to Tuesday. This ship also has some moderately priced cabins with bunk beds.
Despite the great success of the tours in 2024, we have recently decided to make some changes to the program to improve feasibility. Due to wind force, swell and sea conditions, it was hardly possible to reach the island of Møn. Instead, we will now visit the limestone cliffs at Stevns Klint. As this will save us sailing time, we will be able to include two additional bike tours (one from Copenhagen and one to Lund) in the program and also extend our stay on the beautiful island of Ven. You can find the updated program on our website and in our Google Drive. Photos can be found in the album of the trip and the ships on Flickr. All partners who have already booked guests for these trips will soon be informed in a more detailed message.
Tours in France with the Fleur and Zwaantje
There are also some changes for our tours in central France with the Fleur and Zwaantje for 2025. The heavy rainfall and persistent flooding in the summer of 2024 have shown that the nautical infrastructure (especially locks and weirs) in part of the Yonne on our Burgundy trip is unfortunately no longer reliable enough to allow the Fleur to sail on this route due to its greater draught. For this reason, we have reduced the number of departures of the Fleur and the Zwaantje on our Burgundy trip. In addition, the Fleur now sails the remaining Burgundy departures between Môret-sur-Loing, Melun and Sens and no longer to Auxerre. The route of the Zwaantje remains unchanged. However, we have also slightly increased the number of departures for the Zwaantje on the Champagne tour (between Paris and Epernay) and for the Fleur through the Seine Valley (between Paris and Montargis). All relevant information can be found on our website and in the updated tour plans with new departure dates and routes in our Google Drive. Please update the dates and information for these trips on your website if necessary. Partners who have already booked guests for whom this change is relevant will also be informed of the changes in a separate message.
Announcement: BBT Partner Portal will soon be bookable
We are in the final testing phase of making all tours and ships bookable for our partners through our BBT Partner Portal. We will let you know in our next Partner Update when the portal will also become bookable for you, how it works and what the possibilities are. It is worth mentioning that all Islandhopping / Inselhüpfen tours then also will be bookable through the Portal.
You don’t have access to the BBT Partner Portal yet? Please let us know in an email to [email protected], and we will arrange a login with instructions for you.
To be able to book via the portal, it is essential that you have already informed us whether your company will act as an intermediary or a tour operator when selling our tours to your customers in 2025. Until we know your choice of this legal status, we cannot give you access to the Portal. So – if you did not already do so – please let us know at earliest convenience.
We wish everyone another wonderful Indian summer and are already looking forward to 2025!
With kind regards from Amsterdam,
Team Boat Bike Tours
