Captain, mate and waitress perfect. Always smiling and available. Boat was OK also. Sometimes the route was a bit short, but all the villages and cities were absolutely great and magnificient to visit. The route was sometimes beside the road ans this is a bit noising.

Our tour guide, Hugo, was knowledgeable, fun and considerate. The chef, Alf, made amazing meals using in season local ingredients acquired along the route. The scenery was beautiful. This was a trip that will be remembered with pkeasure for many years.

Loved every minute. More e-bikes would have been nice.

At the end of May 2019 20 cycling friends from Perth and Portland Oregon boarded the Allure in Bamberg For an 8 day trip to Aschaffenburg. The moment we boarded we were made to feel welcome by the crew. We were all in our 50’s, 60,s and 70’s and one was 80 who rode every day ! Martien the Captain, Alv our chef extraordinaire, Lea our bike guide, Angeline who helped all the crew and Krys the deckhand. Every staff member went out of their way to make our trip special. The meals that Alv prepared for us every day were outstanding and varied, in fact some of the best meals we had while travelling through Germany. Every day was fun filled cycling through the glorious German countryside with our friends and at the end of the day a welcome drink, coffee, tea and cake. The scenery of all the little towns we visited were very beautiful and the area we biked through was mostly flat. A couple of ladies didn’t ride and so we enjoyed relaxing days on the deck of the Allure reading books, enjoying the wonderful scenery we passed and even managed a few walking laps around the boat! We have now embarked on 2 trip with Eurosail with our cycling friends, this trip from Bamberg to Aschaffenberg and in 2014 from Brugge to Amsterdam. The cabins with our own en-suite are more than big enough for the short amount of time you spend in there and We can thoroughly recommend you travel with Eurosail. We had an amazing trip down the Main River in Germany. The crew was great, food was INCREDIBLE thanks to Alf. Our guide Lia led us on a lively tour to interesting places every day. Would definitely recommend this trip.

This was a great trip. The route was beautiful. Our guide was excellent and took time to accommodate the numerous requests for coffee breaks and shopping opportunities. She had a great sense of humor. The on board staff was also very attentive. The food was very good with a lot of creativity. I would book another tour with this company. Only complaint was that he bikes though Adequate, were Just a bit clunky. Barely Adequate for an avid cyclist, but Cheaper than paying to transport your own bike.

The crew was amazing, so very helpful, they went beyond our expectations. The meals were great, accommodation was great. I am not sure who is responsible for the bike conditions but our first day several of us had flat tires, loose handle bars and gear problems. We told the guide but he never followed through. If it wasn’t for our Captain Meye, First Mate Kris and some of the passengers we would never have had them fixed. The guides attitude was rude, upsetting us and talking about other passengers. He was very unprofessional. He had a terrible time following the GPS so we were lost almost every day. He wanted us to cross a busy highway, thankfully one of the group said NO. I did a Bike and Barge tour three years ago and everyone was excellent including the tour guides, so I know the company does have qualified guides. Unfortunately on this tour we didn’t get one of them.

Our trip on Allure was fabulous. Martien our Captain, Alv our chef extraordinaire, Angeline, Kris & of course Lia our guide. They all made us very welcome and gave us fabulous service. We would recommend Boat & Bike tours again. Although some of the emails we all received for payment of accounts etc were pretty messy and wrong 99% of the time. It may be worthwhile ensuring your brochure for the trip reflects what kms the riders travel everyday as some felt it wasn’t accurate which made it difficult to work it if some riders were able to ride the whole trip.
