We took the Boat Bike Tour from Amsterdam to Bruges in June 2024. Since we had done a lot of research on Boat Bike Tours, we expected it to be terrific. It was even better than we expected. The two guides were amazing and very professional, the Flavius Captain and crew were amazing, the Chef was fantastic, the accommodation was very comfortable, the bikes were in top condition and the routes were varied and interesting. We found the 44 guests became very close and we were sad when we said goodbye after spending a week together. Frankly this was the vacation of a life time. Overall a very good experience, and a great value. No issues with the ship, it was very quiet and smooth. The staff was all very friendly and professional. The A/C in the dining room and lounge was fine at first, but could not keep up during a heat wave. (It was fine in the staterooms.) The stateroom was comfortable and the head/shower spacious. Housekeeping service was top notch. The food was not “over the top” but certainly “very good”. Drink prices were very reasonable. Note that the e-bikes only work on “eco” or “tour” settings. The Tour+ (high setting) did not work, but the Tour (medium) provided a moderate boost. The navigation app worked very well, and the daily ride briefings were thorough. Be sure to purchase a handlebar mount from the cruise director for your phone. We liked all the excursions except the bike tour of Vienna. There way too much traffic and street chaos to be enjoyable, and it seemed to miss some important sights.

Did Metz to Cochem bike tour. We got off to a rough start because the barge we were booked on had a catastrophic mechanical issue. Boat bike tours was able to find a replacement boat in a short period of time but had to advance the tour by 1 day. As we missed day one, they added a special tour for us on the last day and put our group of 14 up in a hotel. Jake, the tour guide was awesome. She is knowledgeable, friendly, and just a great person to spend some time with. Looking forward to our next biking adventure with this company.

A nice boat, excellent staff and amazing chefs and food they created! Tour Guide Elena was beyond amazing! Kind, patient, knowledgeable, and a nice person to be around all week! I know my trip was even more fantastic because they were a part of my journey.

A great itinerary and very friendly and enthusiastic staff

High water meant we had to stay in one (unattractive) location. However the Boat & Bike guides and the crew of the Fluer made sure our trio was excellent. They made up a new itinerary and we really enjoyed ourselves.

The Flora offers a comfortable, intimate experience with a maximum of 22 guests. The crew was first rate, very friendly, and the food was fabulous. Our guide, Tamy is truly world class, contributing mightily to our enjoyment. Friesland is a beautiful place, and the daily routes showed us this.

Experience of a lifetime! Beautiful scenery, bike paths were great, food onboard was excellent and finally, crew onboard SE Manon was excellent. Will definitely book another trip in the near future.

Staying on the Gandolf was great fun and the bike riding through the flat countryside and quaint villages was a real joy. Though the cabin was small, the mattress was comfortable and there were places to store your things. It was nice to have my own small bathroom. Showers were a bit tricky as the water fell back towards the wall and fixtures than on me. The food was plentiful and delicious, and dinners were all varied. Hans and Saskia did a great job getting us where we needed to be and were friendly and helpful. The bikes were in great condition. Our group used both ebikes and regular bikes, all of which worked well. Joan was a great guide with plenty of information and lots of experience biking in The Netherlands. He made sure the bikes were fixed to our liking. He confidently and calmly led the way and, almost every evening, offered a walking tour around the towns where we stayed. He found out what the group was interested in and made sure to include things related to these interests as we peddled our way across the country. We lucked out with the weather with clear, sunny days. Remember to stop for water in the afternoons and stay hydrated if you run in to this kind of weather.
