We had a great week on the MV Amsterdam. Everything exceeded our expectations. There was a choice of shorter or longer bike trips every day and they went through some places a tourist would not normally see. It was a great way to see Holland. The 2 tour guides Nico and Janneke were fantastic at their Job and went out of there way to make sure everyone was happy. Would go again. Darren and Doro. New Zealand.

Took a fabulous 7 day bike/ boat tour from Bruges to Amsterdam with a friend. I cannot say enough about the tour/ company. The staff was very warm/ friendly and went out of their way to make the week extra special. You are treated to 5 star dinners/ has a full service bar; and the tour leaders are multilingual/ knowledgeable/ accommodating to all levels of activity/ physical endurance. We had people in our group from ages 10 to 75 and all had a wonderful time. Would not hesitate to travel with them again. Thank you Hester/ Sandra and all for a marvelous time!!

Fabulous tour leaders and boat crew. They went out of their way to help. Excellent service. Lovely scenery on the rides. I’d recommend an e-bike for anyone who’s not a regular cyclist. It may be flat, but the wind is very strong. Some of the cabins (including mine) were quite damp and smelly

Beautiful, beautiful and beautiful

Interesting form to cycling. You don’t have to think anything, overall after cycling, when you are tired. The ship was nice, clean. The food was in the average. The wine was not so good. Better beer.

Just home from 2 weeks in Holland with Boat Bike Tours. First week on De Amsterdam for the southern tour. Second week on De Holland for the northern tour. Loved both! Both boats are well appointed. The staff were great. They are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The food was excellent as well. Loved both tours for different reasons. Couldn’t pick a favourite between them. Do be prepared for some winds though especially in the north!

A fantastic one week boat and bike cruise and cycling in Northern Holland. Delivering everything that was promised in the the brochure/website. The staff were a pleasure, professional, helpful and courteous at all times. The boat was in excellent condition having just come out of a total refurbishment. The bikes brand new and in excellent condition and no problems experienced the entire week Food was good and with a nice variation from meal to meal. There are some quirks that potential guests should prepare for. 1. The cabins are small by the standard of any hotel room. They are however more than adequate, have everything required and are very comfortable. The size shouldn’t bother by the end of the week wou will adapt. 2. The bikes are robust Dutch cruising bikes. Designed and built for cruising around the villages and towns of Holland. If you are an active cyclist don’t bring your own lightweight performance bike, use the heavy provided bike and enjoy the scenery, taking your time and ride at a slower pace. Just get used to very different handing and perfor 3. Dinner is served at 18:00 earlier that many people are used to. It does allow for time to be spent after dinner for briefing on the next day or going walk about in the local town

Die Reise durch Südholland hat uns gut gefallen – vor allem die verschiedenen Fahrradtouren waren landschaftlich sehr schön und gut vorbereitet. Das Essen auf dem Schiff war bis auf den ersten Abend sehr gut – wurde täglich besser. Beim Frühstück wäre Abwechslung wünschenswert gewesen. Gut fanden wir die Möglichkeit sich ein Lunchpaket mit zunehmen. Unschön war, dass der Kapitän und auch anderes vorgesetztes Personal mehrmals vor den Gästen die Angestellten gehörig zusammengestaucht hat. Dieses unprofessionelle Verhalten der Vorgesetzten spiegelte sich auch bei teilweise sehr unglücklich wirkendem Personal wieder. Sehr schade, vor allem, da das Personal durchaus motiviert wirkte. Der absolut größte Minuspunkt, weshalb wir auch die Reise nicht weiterempfehlen können, ist der furchtbare Geruch auf dem Unterdeck und der Kabine (hinten) – die Kabinen am hinteren Ende des Unterdecks. Unsere Kabine, die am hinteren Ende des Schiffes lag, hat fürchterlich gerochen. Es gab keine Möglichkeit frische Luft in die Kabine zu bekommen aus der Klimananlage kam beissender Gestank in die Kabine und auch durch das zu kippende Fenster gelangte maximal 2 Stunden pro Tag (wenn das Schiff fuhr) frische Luft, was nicht ausreichte den Gestank zu beseitigen. Sobald man wieder im Hafen lag, kam wieder stinkende Hafenluft in die Kabine. So einen Geruch auf einer Kabine haben wir noch nie erlebt. Es hatte zur Folge, dass wir kaum schlafen konnten und ständig Kopfschmerzen hatten. Als wir um Abhilfe beim Manager baten, erhielten wir das Angebot für hundert Euro die Kabine zu wechseln. Dieses Angebot haben wir nicht wahrgenommen, da es keine Garantie gab, dass es dort nicht roch. Eine Woche in dieser Kabine war für uns ein Albtraum. Schade wenn einem davor graut auf das Schiff zurück zukehren.

Staff are very friendly. However the boat lacks AC in the common area and shade areas outside. Add to this that the AC in the bedrooms did not work for many hours, including at night. It became very uncomfortable during very hot summer weather. In my opinion city tours were rushed and not well organized. Bike rides were good.
