From the onset upon boarding the boat, we were made to feel very comfortable. The crew of six provided a first class operation for the 32 bikers. We may have had a special group but we got along very well which was led by our bike leader. The accomadation, food, entertainment, bike ride and sites visited were unbeatable. I believe I can speak for the entire group.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. So nice to hear you had such a great time. Many thanks for your positive feedback and for your kind words regarding the crew.

We have done several bike tours but this trip was one of our favourites Amsterdam to Bruge. So many highlights, the amazing scenery, totally enjoyed the electric bikes ,the night walking tours, the incredibly hard working staff who always had a smile, the lovely group of fellow riders and the beautiful cities we visited.if your thinking about doing something like this – stop thinking and do it ! You won’t be disappointed and we may even see you on one of the great selection of countries to choose from. Donna & Roy Marshall Melbourne Australia

What an amazing week. Staff was helpful and fun. Thomas our tour guide was a fountain of information – but also made the tour fun and fascinating. His love of his country shone through. The boat was clean, beautiful and comfortable. Every afternoon we pedaled at bit faster to see what treat Raymond (the chef) had prepared for us. After that, we quickly got changed so that we could see what was for dinner. Every meal delicious. Thank you Boat Bike Tours – we will be seeing you again!
Many thanks for your positive feedback and for your kind words regarding the crew. We will sent them forward to the crew on board.

We enjoyed our experience very much, but have a few ideas that would have been helpful to us.The boat was well equipped, cabins were clean and comfortable, although on wet days lack of drying space. Food was varied, well cooked and presented nicely. We would have preferred to eat a little later but only our preference. Internet was not reliable in the main saloon, we would have liked to get it in our cabin. Bikes were a very high specification and equipment good, however a waterproof stand for maps on handlebars would have been good, also briefings on days tour in the morning when we were fresh and raring to go. Our briefings were in the evening after dinner when you had had a glass of wine and were tired from the day.
Thanks for your comments. A strong wifi receiver often is a huge cost for such a small vessel. One tries to keep WiFi use costs reasonable this way, otherwise there should be a maximum amount MB per guest / per day. Loose parts for bicycles as bottles / card holders are quite vulnerable, especially if the bicycles must be put on a ship's deck. This is the reason why these parts are not supplied with the bike. As briefings often bring many question, and time during breakfast is limited we choose to have the briefings the evening before.

The best thing about this holiday was the crews help and focus on getting you up and away seeing the country on a bike. Lots of off the road beautiful country with nothing to worry about either on or off the barge. Nice job crew!
Many thanks for your positive feedback and for your kind words regarding the crew. We will sent them forward to the crew on board.

This is our 4th Boat and Bike tour and the best so far. It combined the excellent cycling facilities of Holland with the smaller boat we enjoyed so much in France. Our international group of Brits, Germans, Dutch and one Belgian got along fine together, assisted by our affable and laid-back guide, Fred. Ages ranged from 50’s (hope I haven’t offended anyone) to 80 and everyone managed the cycling easily. The rental bikes were better this year – not the very heavy Dutch bikes with back-pedal brakes. Food was good and plentiful. The crew were friendly and the boat lovely and clean. Yes, the cheaper cabins are tiny and you have to be quite nimble to get into the top bunk but it is only for a week and you only use the cabin to sleep in. Would recommend the holiday to anyone who likes an outdoor holiday and who can ride a bike – you don’t have to be Bradley Wiggens, just able to stay upright and turn the pedals for a couple of hours a day. Electric bikes are available if even that sounds a bit daunting
Many thanks for your positive feedback and for your kind words regarding the crew. We will perform this Hanseatic tour again next year, however with another ship MV Gandalf, a ship with low beds only.

We did the Amsterdam to Bruges trip, 9/5-12/2015 and cannot say enough wonderful things about the whole experience. The tour guide, Rikko, was outstanding: informative, knowledgeable, friendly, encouraging, supportive and exciting. What a great guy! I would follow him anywhere. The ship was spotless, our room and bath super clean and comfortable, the dining and lounges areas so conducive to visiting and hanging out. The whole crew: Jacques the captain, Thom an assistant, Gert the cook (5 stars, amazing man!), Klara and Andrea the servers, lovely women. I cannot say enough about the meals: the quality and variety were topnotch, we looked forward to every meal. The bike rides were so beautiful (tough work with a headwind) and well planned; lots of sites and villages and coffee stops, such a beautiful country. Rikko lead after dinner tours in the cities we were docked at for the night and he knew the cities history and highlights, so informative. I truly cannot say enough positive things about this group and we are already talking about another trip with them.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. So nice to hear you had such a great time. Many thanks for your positive feedback and for your kind words regarding the crew.

We are from the US and joined a group of 80 on a Bike and Barge in the Northern Netherlands. This country is the best place in the world to do bike trips–so many well marked trails, beautiful countryside, and interesting towns and cities to enjoy. The trip was well organized, with good maps and clear briefings each day. The barge was well equipped, meals varied and efficiently served, and the staff warm and welcoming. Having the barge as an option on rainy days was a helpful option. I have done 3 other European bike tours and now that I am over 60, I appreciated the flat terrain and comfort of the boat each night. And the price was GREAT!!
Thanks for sharing your experience with us. It makes us happy to read that you had such a good time!

I found Boat Bike Tours both professional and very friendly at every stage of our holiday arrangements. This was the first biking holiday we have taken and I contacted a number of companies offering the same Danube cruise before settling on Boat Bike Tours as our holiday provider. On each occasion I rang and spoke to an agent of Boat Bike Tours I found their service very friendly and informative. They carried out the actions they said they would take on my behalf without fail and when I realised I had made an error over the date of our holiday (some months after we had paid the deposit) they were extremely helpful and changed our holiday dates without any fuss or surcharge. I cannot find anything negative to say about them and I am really happy that I chose Boat Bike Tours over other companies and I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again – in fact I intend to do so for next Summers holiday.
Thanks for sharing your experience with us. It makes us happy to read that you are so satisfied about our service and we're looking forward to welcome you on board again.

Romantica boat is ideal for biking vacations in Dalmatian Islands . But the description on the web site and brochures does not precise enough the biking experience requirements. Several members of our team had hard time to climb the 400 to 700m elevation per day. The guides did not know the route well and could not give precise informations the day before. They had not a detailled map to show the climbing % of the road ( 4 to 10%) . The map provided to us did not show the elevation of the summit of road neither the % of slope. Hopefully E’bikes were proposed but it takes some time to get full benefit of the help.
Thanks for your review. On our new website, we will tell more about the biking requirements. We asked our partner forfeedback, (that's why you had to wait 2 weeks before we answered back to you). You can read their comments here below: Our daily tour maps are simple maps that show the island as an overview with our give path. Because we are with two guides, our maps do not go into high detail. IF guests want to cycle on their own then we offer proper GPS and map equipment. We plan to add the meters of elevation to the maps but it is very difficult on the islands to stay to the same tour every week because of wind and weather. IF we suddenly have to change harbours then the printed information dosnt have any value anymore, therefore we have our briefing after the mealtimes to prepare the guests for the planned tour. With meters of elevation and KMs announced. It all takes place a bit differently when you are making plans on the Adriatic.
