Wonderful group experience with Boat Bike! A shout out to our captain Coba, our guides Hans & Laura, our chef – Lesley, Matje & Tomek. They went above and beyond in so may ways. Special decorations for Canada Day and an anniversary celebrations, incredible meals and snacks. Great guided tours by Hans, just an amazing trip all around. Thank you for everything!

The scenery, and recommendations for cafe’s, wineries, architecture and shops along our routes were wonderful!! We usually had ample time to bike and sight-see, but there were a few times when the trail wasn’t clearly marked and some people in our group took an incorrect turn which reduced the amount of leisure time available on our rides. The APP was not very helpful b/c it did not show street names. In the US, we are accustomed to better apps and better road markings. Also, I was told that an ebike would not be offered for me since I am only 5’0”. But as it turned out, there WAS an ebike avaikable that fit me (but I had to request it on day 2 after I hurt my back on the first day). This availability could have been more proactively communicated. The cycling on the last day was TOO MUCH. There was nothing of great interest to see on the last 20 miles of the trip and it was an extremely hot day! (The first 10 Miles were fabulous Krems – Durnstein)!! Recommend the boat to pick up riders much closer to Durnstein). The recommended bike tours in the cities were VERY GOOD and those guides were extremely knowledgeable – kudos to them! Boat accommodations were very nice. Cleaning, cooking, wait staff and entertainment staff did an absolutely fabulous job! However, the air conditioning failure in the dining room (table 24) was totally unacceptable. Staff should have rotated who sat there each night or served us first (vs last) so we didn’t have to wait in the horrible hot corner. Fans were brought out on the last evening, which helped, but then other tables felt they needed the air (when they had NO IDEA we were boiling in the corner). I would have preferred to eat in the lounge as an accommodation. That said, we very much enjoyed the breakfast buffet and ability to pack our lunches for cycling. Based on the casual nature of this cruise, I would recommend a dinner buffet as well. There is much disparity between what the Germans preferred vs Americans, and this would let people choose what they wanted. The fancy, multi-course meals were out of character for the type of cruise and the food was not much to our liking. Desserts were always stellar! The crew who shucked our bikes every day should get special mention! They did a great job which was hard work and rather thankless.

The food was great. Needed a facecloth as part of the towel package.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Boat and Bike tour from Maastricht to Amsterdam. Our guide led us on daily trips through lovely towns and the beautiful countryside, providing interesting cultural and historical information and stops along the way. All of the staff were very friendly and made sure everyone on board was well accommodated. The food was delicious, and our chef took great pride in providing an interesting menu throughout the trip. We enjoyed spending time with new friends from different countries, along with the several friends we were traveling with. I have recommended a Boat and Bike trip to many people since our return!

Everything was excellent from the staff to the boat, to the cycling and to the food. The small group on the boat made for an intimate and relaxing experience. I can’t think of much I would change. The one suggestion I have is to provide a little more information as to when and why the cycling itinerary is changing on certain days.

Everything about our recent Boat/Bike experience was A-one! The boat, cabin, crew, bikes, food, all of it: Great. We’d do it again in a heartbeat!

From the moment we were welcomed aboard the Flora, we felt comfortable and cared for. Well organised with excellent communications (to cope with different languages), nothing was too much trouble for the captain, cook, crew, or tour guide. It was a real pleasure and I hope to be able to repeat the experience again (and again)!

There was good communication from the company before the trip to help us prepare and plan approriately. Questions were answered in a friendly & timely manner. Rules and expectations were always clear and specific. Everything aboard the ship was as described. There were no unexpected changes or surprises. The ship crew was friendly personable & and accommodating. Meals were very good and healthy. Plenty of food to satisfy us after a day of riding bikes. Accommodations were comfortable even though the cabins and the common areas are tight. We are used to air conditioning and were concerned about cabins being too warm for sleeping. Fortunately, the unusually cool weather kept sleeping temps bearable. My electric bicycle worked great and made riding in the windy weather a “breeze”. Our tour guide was fabulous. Tami is very personable, positive and accommodating and a wonderful leader. she was clear and specific about the daily rides, yet also open to input from the group. Her enthusiasm kept the group happy and motivated. This was an all around great trip and I would definitely do another trip with this company., and especially with the group guide.

The ship exceeded expectations with very comfortable rooms, good size dining and sitting areas, and a wonderful sun deck. Crew were fabulous, guides kept us safe and entertained. A great package deal!

As always, they ran an excellent and well organized program. Wonderful cycling, gorgeous scenery, fantastic city tours, and service with a smile. They did a great job of providing vegan meals for us.
