Very well organized and friendly. Super staff and great food, well done

Generally a good experience, but with room for improvement. The ship was fine, the crew was wonderful. We had great dinners, but breakfast was lacking and without much variety. The part of the trip that really needs improvement is the quality of the bikes…they’re pretty terrible. I’d recommend this trip to friends, but tell them to somehow bring their own bikes.

Very good experience, will definitely be a repeat customer. Room was great, bathrooms larger than large cruise ships, food was very good, breakfasts could have offered different options but overall good.Staff was very good.

As the only Brits on the trip we were thoughtfully put on a dining table with 4 English speaking Norwegians and had a great experience. Bike tours well organized, lost one day due to low water levels but didn’t detract from the overall trip. Took our own bikes , worked well. All crew worked hard getting all bikes both off and on the boat every cycling day. Food at breakfast and dinner was good. Boat design worked well with plenty of relaxing room. Very helpful bar/waiter staff. The cycling guide was not as inter-active as I would have expected, but didn’t impact on our enjoyment. Generally transit and car parking worked well. All told a great holiday.

The bike boat cruise exceeded expectations! From beginning to end. The registration process was easy and follow up questions were answered promptly. The crew on the SE Manon were all super friendly. We loved the teamwork by the entire staff getting the bikes off and back on board each day. Enjoyed meeting folks from around the world. Biking was fun in spite of some rainy weather which helped raise the water level of the Danube so we could do the full trip. Food was excellent too. This is the best of both worlds, biking and river cruising on the beautiful Danube. Would highly recommend this trip to anyone!

We loved the boat & bike ‘formula’. Cabin was excellent. The food on board was excellent, as were all the staff. The bicycles provided (regular and e-bike) were very good. Suggestions for improvement: 1) have an air compressor available on board to rapidly inflate bicycle tires 2) regular (non-sparkling) water should be available at meal times AT NO COST 3) provide biscuits or cookies with the afternoon coffee 4) ensure the cruise director provides the same level of detail in English as in German at the daily briefings 5) lower the intensity of the lights on the sun deck at night! 6) ensure materials (tour book, repair kit, paniers, etc.) are distributed in a controlled fashion, i.e. one per cabin, following the list of passengers, and not freely to anyone who simply took more than their fair share!

I love Boat & Bike Tours because it combines exercising, sightseeing and family time. Everything is taken care of for you. We will definitely choose another tour in the future. This has been our second!

Fantastic trip on SE-Manon last week from Passau-Budapest and back. The ship, and all that came with it, far exceeded expectations. The crew was attentive and fun and did their jobs with utmost care. The food was excellent, from the buffet breakfast, (and pack-your-own-lunch) to the 4 course gourmet dinners. We fully enjoyed every meal. The cycle tours were well organized. The crew looks after the unloading and loading of the bikes from the ship with fantastic efficiency. The bike’s weren’t exactly what we are use to riding at home. We chose the standard version (non-Ebike). They were a 7-speed step-through comfort bike and for sure a little more work then our hybrids at home, but they got the job done once we got used to them. The scenery up and down the Danube was beautiful. There were rides that took you right along the river, or through small villages and hillside vineyards. There were also opportunities to ride into the bigger cities if you chose. Rides were 35km,40km, 60km and 60km and routes were easy to navigate. It really was the trip of a lifetime for us and made all the more enjoyable by meeting new people (at least the ones that spoke some English) and interacting with the fantastic crew. From the hotel staff, to the sailors, to the kitchen and restaurant/bar staff, they were so much fun and interesting to learn their stories…just great people all around. The only thing that maybe didn’t measure up was we felt we could’ve used a little more detail (in English) about what’s along the routes themselves…how much time should you spend here or there, and still have time to see everything? are there places to refill water? or the best places to shop? or find coffee? …that sort of detail was maybe lacking a bit…we suspect there was more detail offered in German (but have no way of knowing for sure). so if you have those types of questions mike sure to ask. Sailing on the ship was very pleasant. Most evenings your are travelling up or down river, and if the weather is nice you can sit on the upper deck with a drink and enjoy great conversation while the sights go by. The ship is very smooth, most often while sleeping you don’t feel or hear a thing. The rooms are very comfortable. All-in-all a fully enjoyable experience, where they look after you very well. Its a great way to see the countries. We look forward to a boat-bike tour on SE-Manon again someday, perhaps in the Netherlands, which also sounds like it would be a great tour. Thanks again for a wonderful vacation.

We had an amazing tour of the Danube from Passau to Budapest, Austria, Hungary, etc. The scenery of the tour is amazing. The bike trails, and small villages that we passed through were picturesque. Everything from the boat, service, food etc on the SE Manon were top notch. A big shout out to the staff that our Canadian contingent loved..Sandi, Azra, Emeldin, Tanya, Stefan, etc you made our trip even more enjoyable then we ever thought would happen. I would not hesitate to sail again with that group, and SE Tours in the future.
