I would have given a better rating had Boat Bike Tours been more proactive in informing me of the Covid rules in France. I only learned about the Pass Sanitare a week before we left for France. This document is critical for visiting museums and other indoor facilities in France. I depend on the tour operator for giving us this type of information well in advance in order to avoid issues in the tour country. Also, the starting point of the tour was a very small town and when asked about transportation getting there, I received poor advice. We were able to overcome these issues and did have a great time on the tour and met a lot of very nice fellow bikers on the boat. I recommend this tour if you want to see a lovely area of France and some fascinating history.

The schedule was always clear and followed in a timely manner. Our guides and crew were caring and responsive. The berths were “cozy” but clean. The biking itineraries were chosen to enjoy the best of the beautiful French countryside and also some of its inimitable culture and architecture. Last but not least, the cuisine was delicious, with authentic dishes given a little extra flair by our hardworking and exuberant chefs. We had a wonderful time!

This was our first biking and boat tour. It was amazing. We went with a big group of 10 nurses and 10 spouses. Biking was not difficult. It felt good biking around in France. We saw many things that we wouldn’t if we were driving. We are thankful for that. The guide Carlos and the crew Filippo, Josef, Marco and Nadia were friendly, positiv, helpful, nice and service minded. Made us feel like home. Trusted os for the boat, bar and the wine. This was a very enjoyable tour with an efficient and comfortable boat, good quality bicycles, a varied and interesting group of fellow travellers and a very competent, friendly and helpful crew. Our Captain led his team with easy efficiency, our Steward looked after all our on-board needs with care and a ready smile, our Chef provided tasty and interesting meals with plenty of variety and our cycling Tour Leader really made the whole experience with her happy disposition and her efficiency in navigating, fixing mechanical problems and looking after our safety.

The cycling was good. Good bikes. Nice scenery. Appropriate level of difficulty except some less experienced cyclists had difficulty in traffic circles. The dinners were inconsistent. Some were fabulous and a few were inedible. A greater wine selection would be good. The rooms were okay but the smell of mold was a problem. Also the beds were too short for people over 180cm.

Wonderfully organized tour! Loved every minute! Biking, eating, sailing the Rhone! Many thanks to a very dedicated initial reservation team and boat crew & guide.

Great tour. We were very spoilt with food and great housekeeping.

We are very satisfied and we have the very best guide. The only thing we missed was a little more space om the sunny deck.

The crew and tour leader made us comfortable and safe. We reserved e-bikes, and were glad we did. Our daily rides involved some hill climbing and these well-maintained bikes made it easier on us to keep up. Each day brought interesting rides and destinations. Carlos, our leader, pointed out sites, and scheduled good stops along the way. All staff were very very helpful. Lots of humor along the way!!

The trip surprised me in many ways: great route, excellent food, very professional and friendly staff. I will definitely recommend it to my friends!
