What an amazing trip! Excellent boat, staff, food, guests and weather!!! Beautiful tours of 13th to 18th century towns, historical and war memorial information, lovely farmland, dike rides, forests and more. I’ll be back!

The boat is beautifully outfitted. Staff & captain are great. The 2 guides were wonderful.

We had a 5-star experience onboard the sailboat Erato. Although the boat does not actually sail, the creature comforts benefited by cruising were exceptional. Due to the high winds in the Cyclades we were diverted to the Saronic Islands which did not disappoint. The high quality electric bikes made touring the islands a breeze and the islands were gorgeous. Our guide Dionysis, being very knowledgeable and informative made sure to point out all the highlights and swimming areas along the way. He, along with his crew were outstanding and the meals onboard were fabulous. We highly recommend this well organized tour. Kudos to our team, Dionysis, Nick, Vagelis, Bubu and Stavros

Compared to previous bike and boat experiences this one was less enjoyable…The mix of people in the larger group, the accommodations were clean and nice but I didn’t pay to sleep in a twin would rather a queen for my husband and I to enjoy our vacation. Food was just ok, breakfast solid, chef made us a special meal one night and that was great. Help staff were excellent. Responsiveness to bumps like weather, lateness, loss of luggage needed better communication. Other companies have downloadable live gps systems not printed multiple page maps. Other companies don’t make me being a helmet & water bottle and safety vest. Charging for water at meals…the little niceties make all the difference.

No JACUZZI!! I asked every night to use the jacuzzi which would have bee sooo nice after long bike ride. It worked but the staff wouldn’t heat it up!! There were several of us who wanted to use it Don’t advertise having a jacuzzi on your boat if you don’t let people use it! Breakfast and lunch were awful and had not diversity. Same stuff EVERYday!! Last year on the Magnifique, they had beautiful baked goods and really nice things! Nothing to do at night in the boat!! We had some rainy weather and were stuck on the boat. Why not have a movie nite or games. No, nothing to do! Just the Germans drinking. I felt like I was held captive and it made me very upset It was not a full ship and we asked to upgrade our cabin which we were willing to pay for. asked several times, no response.
Hi Ann, Thank you for your detailed feedback and for sharing your experience with us. We’re sorry to hear that your stay on the boat didn’t meet your expectations, and we understand that the disappointment around using the jacuzzi and the variety in meals played a significant role in your experience. We also recognize that the lack of evening activities on rainy days was uncomfortable and that the unfulfilled requests for an upgrade may have been frustrating. We would like to reach out to you personally to discuss this further and see how we can improve your experience. Thank you for bringing this to our attention – we would like to find an appropriate solution. Warm regards, Romy

Hugo, our guide was amazing. He was knowledgeable and excellent at sharing the history, architecture, the politics, economics etc. of the Middle Ages, and the renaissance. One afternoon we visited a cheese factory and learned about the process. On another day, we visited a distillery to learn about the process and to taste some excellent Italian liquors. We also visited a carnival museum with antiques from past eras. Hugo was a HUGE plus making for a memorable trip.

Great crew, especially the guides Berend and Jens, who were great at keeping everyone informed, as well as riding the trails helping out if needed each day. Loved biking through The Netherlands and returning to the boat each day.

Boat bike tours did their utmost best to adjust our tour schedule due to Danube River flooding in some areas and locks closed due to damage. The onboard experience was exceptional including food, entertainment, e-bikes, cabin, etc. Daily tour information was detailed with lots of route information. Very helpful in fixing issues with our e-bikes.

Using the Ridge with GPS really helped us navigate the ride. Captain Ed was great. Felt very secure in his maneuvering of the boat.

What a fabulous experience! I have no reservation about giving this Boat Bike Tour a 5 star review. The ship was beautiful, the captain and crew were very hospitable and fun, we ate like royalty (seriously, the meals were amazing), and our tour guides Nina and Corrie were a wealth of local lore and knowledge which made our daily bike adventures a lot of fun (even on the rainy days). Would absolutely recommend this trip, and have already booked another tour for next year.
