Great way to see the countryside and small towns along the rivers. Never stuck in a tourist trap and able to enjoy the natural beauty. The rides are fantastic, best way to see a country. The boat is perfect – has everything you need and moves with you so you only have to unpack once! Super friendly staff and guides – will do another trip next year!

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour. All the staff were excellent, always helpful and cheerful. The dinners were fabulous. Most of our time, of course, was spent with our guides Paul and Andre, and both were great. We would/will do another Boat Bike tour again and have no hesitation recommending it to our friends.

Our second wonderful bike barge tour experience. This time from Paris to Epernay on Zwanjtze. The cycling group was great. Some really good fit cyclists and some not very fit cyclists, but that did not matter as everyone was tolerant, friendly and helpful. We all had fun and made lasting friendships along the way, helped by the champagne tastings I’m sure! The cycle tour leaders were helpful, knowledgeable and professional and joined in the fun in the evenings. The ladies facilitating the running of the barge were just amazing, kept everything spotless and so very friendly and helpful. The barge was kept lovely, the cabins were adequate and we devised a routine to facilitate showering and changing. After our tour in Italy on the Ave Maria I expected a similar fabulous dining experience but the evening meals this year were only average in my view, despite similar galley facilities? However, this may not be as important for others and it will not stop us from joining another tour next year. Overall a great holiday.

The service of the crew on our trip was top-notch. The guides are very knowledgeable and provided many interesting details of the places we rode through. The food on the ship was excellent and the hostess was friendly and looked after everyone’s needs.

The crew made us feel welcome the moment we arrived. Peter, our bicycle guide was outstanding! He gave us history information along the way, and we traveled at a nice pace. Peter always took the time to answer questions on and off the barge. The onboard crew was great! The chef, the food, the waitstaff, and of course, the Captain were exceptional!! The only improvement I would suggest-shorten the time between courses at dinner. That may not be possible due to the attention to detail the chef has on each course. We are already looking at our next bike/barge trip.

The boat was better than I had expected. The crew were perfect hosts from the captain, the chef, the ladies that looked after our rooms and especially our bike guides. It was organized extremely well with a nice mix of cycling, information, rest stops and lunch breaks. The food on board was exceptional with 3 course meals to a constant availability of snacks. My group was very impressed from the moment we boarded till the morning we departed the ship. I give this company top marks on every aspect of this experience.

Boat Bike Tours never fails to deliver. We had a wonderful trip along the lower Rhone Valley, made great friends and lasting memories. Crew was great; guide was great. Not all participants were entirely honest concerning their ability to communicate or understand English – but we were able to pick up some Italian over the course by sheer absorption

Date:June 10-17 Boat De Amsterdam Tour: Southern Tour Boat very clean, rooms spacious and tour very well organized. The staff were amazing. Thank you to Vlad, Rebecca and Ishfand. My only complaint was the special treatment or as we called them VIP of the group that had their food served to them in the lounge. (Huge inconvenience to the staff who are already working hard). We all paid the same money for this trip and should all be treated equally. Also guests being rude to staff, was very disappointed that this was tolerated and staff were not backed. I know you have no control on the guests, however staff should be supported and sometimes pushback from management may make them feel appreciated. My Boat & Bike on the Danube (Passau to Vienna/return) in May/June was all and more of what I expected it to be. Everything about the boat (accommodations, food, service) was excellent. Everything about the bikes (quality, support/help, daily tour guide info, trails) was outstanding. The Crew on the Princess Katherina couldn’t have been better. We were fortunate to have great weather. Only wish: That water be included at lunch and dinner (not necessarily in bottles). It was one of my best travel experiences and I hope to have more with Boat and Bike.

Great tour. Nice people, food, surroundings, the boat and close to everything. But too many people cycling at once, maybe devide el and others. The company “boat and bike ” were only subcontracted and not present, so we were actually traveling with the company “girolibero”…Didn’t feel connected to “boat and bike “ as previous tours.
