There was nothing not to like about this trip. It was a week of total enjoyment. Everything was done well, the boat accommodation is delightful and the bike riding was very well organised and totally fun. The staff were professional and enjoyable to be with. I need to make special mention of the chef Gerard, who produced the most delicious and healthy meals every day, it was like dining in a top restaurant. The best holiday ever.

Crew were great. Accommodating, pleasant, thoughtful, detailed, thorough.

I am not Doug Johnson. I am Heidi Hammond and I was Doug’s roommate for this trip. It was so convenient to have the boat be our hotel, plus the meals were delicious. The kitchen staff was very good about accommodating my vegetarian diet. It was fun to see the small staff all pitch in with whatever work needed to be done from getting bikes ready to serving meals. Even the captain made dessert one night! Guides and boat staff were always pleasant, always smiling, always helpful. I really enjoyed the biking. While we had to maneuver through parts of Venice on city streets, the guides kept us safe. The guides were very knowledgable about the countryside we were visiting and showed us some really interesting things such as the Excelsior Hotel on Lido Island where the Venice International Film Festival is held, (and where George Clooney was married), a cheese factory, and the Museum of Amusement Rides and Popular Entertainment in Bergantino. The only suggestion I might offer for improvement would be to cut short some of our longer breaks. While we were in cities for some of them, the shops were closed because it was lunch time. It would have been nice to get back to the boat to rest. This is my second boat and bike trip, and I look forward to experiencing another one!

This was our second boat and bike tour after loving our first one, 8 years ago. This trip did not disappoint, the accommodations, food, tour guides, and location were ideal for our trip. The weather being perfect helped a bit as well :)! The friendliness of all the staff and fellow passengers created a wonderful experience. Highly recommend this type of vacation for anyone.

This was my first experience living on a barge for 7 days. I was with a cycling mate who wanted to experience riding through the country side of Frances Provence/Camargue areas. The accommodation was clean & tidy although compact ( which was expected as it was a barge) The bathroom was very tight & compacted. Again it is a barge. But if you happened to be a person larger then average (like over 180cm) it could be difficult to navigate. The staff were always pleasant & accomodating.Each meal was beautifully prepared & presented by the kitchen staff with a good selection of food Each evening meal was different with a different wine recommended each day. The tour guide was very helpful & experienced in guidance & local knowledge of the areas travelled. For the month of June morning temperatures started off cool but from mid morning into the afternoon temps could reach around 30c.But there was always a cool breeze But sunscreen was recommended as the rides mostly finished not til late afternoon. The other 19 people on the tour from the US & Australia & other countries were always friendly & pleasant. Overall it was a great experience & I would recommend it. The only thing is that as the cycling distances do vary each day it would be an advantage to already have a cycling prepared legs used to daily cycling as you are not only cycling but stopping at locations along the route & doing a lot of walking.

This was my second Bike and Barge with Bike Boat Tours, the first being Best of Holland on the Magnifique II in 2019. The Provence Bike and Barge used a sub-contractor, Girolibero, which in almost every aspect was inferior to the Holland Bike and Barge. – Guide (Micaela) treated us like she was the school teacher and we were her Kindergarten students. The first day was to assess us but she never adjusted her behavior. Majority of our group was on manual bikes while she was on an ebike. She was so far ahead of the group she had no clue what was going on. Guides should not be on an ebike when the majority of bikers are on manual bikes. . -Accommodations: The rooms were very small. There was no separate shower. We had to shut the bathroom door and the whole room became the shower leaving everything wet. At the very least a squeegee should have been provided to help mop up the water. -Internet – Never worked even though it was to be available in the common area. -The food was very good. The Chef (Dani )and the steward (Alice) were a pleasure to deal with. The Captain (Fabrice) was personable and made an effort to mingle. Note: I sent an email directly to Boat Bike Tours directly when I returned but have yet to receive a response.

Exceeded my expectations! The trip (Highlights of Dalmatia) in Croatia was fantastic. We had a great group as well as FANTASTIC guides (can’t say enough about Kresho and Alen) and crew. I highly recommend an ebike as most in our group chose. Ultimately even those who originally started on a hybrid (very fit folks) changed to an ebike to manage the 11k feet of total climb. The boat (Harmonia) was a great size for our group of 29, the beds were comfortable, and the bath was bigger than I expected. I have two minor complaints – we weren’t allowed to bring our own wine on board (even with a corkage fee), and I would have liked fresh towels more frequently (exchanged only once during the trip). Overall, I highly recommend this trip and will be planning more boat/bike trips in the future!

My trip was excellent. The boat. The guides. The crew. Fantastic doesn’t even approach how wonderful However to be honest your shortfall is detailing how difficult the biking is Please emphasize that this is an e-bike ride. This is not a hybrid experience. I am an avid & trained biker & the hybrids are a very poor choice for this degree of difficulty
