Exploring Austria

When you think of Austria, you think of mountains. This might scare you off, but we can assure you that you do not have to cross any peaks. But they do make the perfect background!

From the cozy and historical towns along the meandering Danube to the grandeur in the romantic city of Vienna, all sights are evenly wonderful. You will enjoy the friendly atmosphere and hospitable people. And last but not least there are some great wine houses along the way, so you will be able to taste a few famous red or whites, or a sparkling variant. The Grüner Veltliner is Austria’s national pride and also the Riesling is well known.

Furthermore, Austria is famous for their Wiener schnitzels, mountaineering and winter sports (like skiing and snowboarding) and yodeling, a remarkable form of singing where the normal voice is rapidly alternated with a falsetto. You should give it a try whilst cycling…
